Resources and links to help in your classroom!

  • Protectors of Air and Water Teaching Resources: LINK

    • The materials linked above are a culmination of a multiyear environmental education project between WCU and Cherokee High School funded by the Cherokee Preservation Foundation which came to be known as Protectors of Air and Water or (PAW for short). The logo is the official logo of the project baring the words “We are Protectors of our Earth” in both English letters and Cherokee syllabary. In this project, ninth grade earth-science students learned about air and water quality from both a western science perspective and indigenous perspective focused on Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian (EBCI) cultural and traditional ecological knowledge. Please share with educators who might be able to benefit from these free resources.
